With a total of 37 years in management, James Cobb has primarily focused the last 25 years in the medical field. Mr. Cobb began as assistant business manager for a practice comprised of twenty-five radiologists in 1980. He then managed a multi-specialty clinic for six years. Since then, Mr. Cobb has served as CEO for the Pacific Cataract Laser Institute, Pacific Eye Center and currently, Orion Medical Services. This experience includes management of organizational employees in excess of one hundred fifty, as well as managing budgets in excess of thirty million dollars per year. In the past 12 years, James Cobb has developed, constructed and managed seven high-volume ambulatory surgery centers, all of which have achieved financial success. He has been a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) for 20 years as well as a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA). Mr. Cobb attended the University of Texas, and Southwestern Union College, holds a private pilots license with multi-engine and instrument ratings, and is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). An accomplished pianist, he is also very active in community and church activities.
Toby Brown brings to the Orion Medical Services team over 25 years of clinical expertise in many medical specialties such as Neurosurgery and Orthopedics, an extensive global knowledge of the operating room, and several years of Ambulatory Surgery Center administrative management. Mr. Brown is proud to have been part of the implementation of the first Multi Specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Lane County, and Oregon's first state of the art facility dedicated specifically to Neurosurgery. Acting as Orion's Regional Resource Clinical Coordinator, Toby Brown serves as a liaison for all of the Orion Medical Services owned and managed facilities, their staff and Physicians. Mr. Brown works closely with James Cobb, President/CEO and Scott McNulty, CFO in the design, development, implementation, training and reporting for all of Orion's facilities. Mr. Brown's extensive hands-on experience, dedication to patient care, combined with his diversified expertise, are a great asset to the team at Orion Medical Services, and the success of its many surgery centers.
Robert Hyatt has over 30 years experience in management, corporate finance, business lending and commercial real estate development. Mr. Hyatt graduated with honors at the University of Oregon with a degree in finance. His experience ranges from senior financial management in publicly traded firms to commercial lending positions at money center banks. Mr. Hyatt provides Orion Medical Services with real estate related expertise as well as valuable experience in developing and maintaining external financial relationships. This experience is instrumental for future growth and prosperity of Orion Medical Services and its medical partners.
With over 10 years experience in Human Resources with large corporations, and small organizations, Misty Demagalski has acquired an extensive knowledge of office practices. Ms. Demagalski currently provides Human Resource administration for all Orion Medical Services owned and managed facilities. This includes implementation of benefits, employment issue resolution and maintaining current knowledge in Oregon, California and Arizona employment law, as well as expertise in HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
Mr. Freytag has extensive experience in Healthcare Information Systems ranging from Hospitals to Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Clinical Offices. Having worked in several hospitals, and clinical offices through out Oregon, Mr. Freytag now brings his expertise of nearly 10 years to the Ambulatory Surgery Center field. Mr. Freytag oversees all of Orion Medical Services in house and affiliated networks through out the United States. Mr. Freytag manages all Information Systems to maintain high levels of security, and HIPAA compliance for all of our AAAHC certified centers. A great asset to Orion, Mr. Freytag is instrumental in the growth and management of all Information Systems with Orion and partners.
Ms. Phillips has extensive experience in medical management and currently oversees daily operations of the Orion Billing and Collections department. She specializes in all areas of accounts receivable and insurance billing and is instrumental in streamlining Orion's billing processes. As the newest member of Orion's executive management team, Ms. Phillips' skills and knowledge is highly beneficial to all of the Orion Medical Services ambulatory surgery centers.
As assistant to James Cobb, Ms. Ellsworth's high-level executive support experience is essential to our administrative team. Her extensive knowledge of business practices and legal background enables her to act as liaison between Mr. Cobb and our clients and monitor current projects. In addition to Ms. Ellsworth's many skills, she is also a notary public. Ms. Ellsworth is currently increasing her knowledge in the area of human resources and will be also be providing assistance to the Human Resources department.
